This series of Chinese views were all published in China Illustrated, between 1843 and 1847. All the originals are steel engravings, with recent professional hand colouring, after pictures by Thomas Allom. More about Thomas Allom can be seen here on Wikipedia. The originals measure about 19 x 13 cms including title, being scanned at high-resolution these can be printed larger than this.

This first print of Hong Kong (below) shows how these prints can be cleaned and enhanced ready for giclee printing. After digital cleaning it has had new margins added, including a new title and artist/engraver imprint, and is now ready to print.
